Welcome to my Website, Finally...

Live in the moment, it's right in the palm of your hand
Live in the moment, it's right in the palm of your hand

Everyday is an opportunity to start, shift, redirect a journey, and, it's important to remember to live in the moment. Well, in this very moment, I am creating content and building this website! That also means that this is the first time that I am writing a blog for this page, so what better thing to write about then, you guessed it, working through self doubt. Though I currently feel quite confident in the creation of this platform, it didn't always start that way. Covid, shifts in relationships, supporting family, finances, and anything else you could name surely can put a damper on ones confidence. We may be called to go in one direction, yet life can present itself with obstacles. That's the thing about calling, that's the thing about a willingness to be honest regarding where our current focus is. Life presents us with so many distractions that take us away from the desires of our heart, the more of who we are, our calling, our peace, our truth. What to do about where we allow our mind to dwell?

Our mind and what we focus on plays a huge role in our ability to manage what life physically presents us. We may not always have control of our circumstances, but we can practice where we allow our mind to focus on in the moment. This is a practice of redirecting ones thoughts which can lower worry or other anxious symptoms. What I do is choose an affirmation that is supportive and true in the moment. Once the affirmation is chosen, I sit in silence, feet planted on the ground, sitting still, and allow myself to visualize what comes to me with the awareness of that affirmation. For example, I can choose an affirmation like, " You got this". Then I sit and imagine what it means to embody that affirmation. In using this example, I imagine myself sitting here, writing these words to you, to myself believing in the passion I have for mental health, for the joy I have in supporting others on their journey of accepting themselves fully, with love, so that we can be solid examples of love to share with others. This work is an act of Love to myself first, and it is my joy to support you and your loved ones , inviting themselves fully to the table of self love.
